Redskins Insider:
Defensive end Phillip Daniels was named the winner of the team's 2009 Ed Block Courage Award, presented to a player from each team who displays courage amid adversity. The award is named after longtime Baltimore Colts trainer Ed Block and was first presented in 1978. Daniels, 36, suffered a season-ending torn anterior cruciate ligament on the first day of training camp in 2008. The 14-year veteran has remained in the starting lineup this season despite a torn right biceps.
