Danny Amendola retiring from the NFL after 13 seasons

Veteran wide receiver and two-time Super Bowl champion Danny Amendola announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday, capping off a 13-year career.

The 36-year-old reportedly had offers coming in from multiple teams this offseason, but decided it is time to pursue other career interests. He told ESPN's Adam Schefter he is interested in joining the broadcast side of football as his next big venture.

Amendola ends his career with 617 receptions for 6,212 yards and 24 touchdowns. He played for the St. Louis Rams, Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions and the New England Patriots, with whom he won two Super Bowls. He ended his career with the Houston Texans in 2021.
