Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Darnell Dockett has it all figured out when it comes to filling the stands and driving up his jersey sales. Fox Sports 910 Phoenix hosted Dockett in one of the funnier interviews I’ve come across in a while.  The long-time Cardinal told the radio station that he has acquired a pet tiger named Little Buddy, and that he’s hoping to bring his Little Buddy to training camp to get acquainted with the fans. “I’m trying to bring him to training camp,” he said.  ”I don’t know if they’ll let me, but we’re going to see.” I feel like this could be a huge distraction.  While his new pet weighs about 60 pounds now, the acclaimed “very chill, very playful” cat has the potential to reach 500 pounds.  I hope it has its shots. So ok, pet tiger.  We’ve heard that before from Mike Tyson.  Not uncommon I suppose among the rich and famous.  But Dockett didn’t stop there.  He says that he recently made a $30,000 offer to obtain a friend for Little Buddy: a pet monkey.  Now I’ve heard it all. Twitter: @ddockett “I didn’t buy the pet monkey,” said Dockett.  ”The dude would not sell it.  I offered him a price that the only other person who would offer him that much is probably Michael Jackson, rest in peace, but he wouldn’t even entertain my offer when it came to the monkey.” Dockett obviously has put a lot of thought into the possibilities that could come with owning his own furry little friend.  He’s got the monkey pictured as a season ticket holder wearing his jersey, leaving the crown in awe with all of its fascinating splendor. “Could you picture that on game days?  I’m coming to the game, I have my monkey with me, he has my jersey on,” Dockett said.  ”Think about it.  After the game, the fans see me with the monkey, ticket sales go up, Dockett jersey sales go up.  Why?  Because they all want to see me with the monkey.” I think Cardinals fans would much rather see the franchise get back to Super Bowl contention, but Dockett might be on to something here.  If anyone has a monkey up for sale and wants to make a quick $30k, please contact Dockett’s agent.
