Darrell Jackson, who was recently waived by the 49ers, could be an option for the Eagles in their on-going search for a wide receiver. According to ProFootballtalk.com, the Eagles, Vikings, Bucs and Redskins are all interested in the services of the 8-year veteran. Jackson is coming off a mediocre season with the Niners where he caught 46 passes for 497 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was a star receiver in his early days with the Seahawks, when he caught over a thousand yards three times. His best season was in 2004 when he caught 87 balls for 1,199 yards and grabbed 7 touchdowns. The Darrell Jackson of five years ago would be the solution to the Eagles need for a top receiver. Now? Forget it.

    yeah i gotta agree there!!!!!

  • I still think jackson would be an upgrade and for the right price ( very cheap) we should consider getting him

  • I guess I agree. He could be a number 3 guy, he's just nothing to get excited about. He was a number 3 guy last year for the awful Niners, I just hope we can do better
  • I don't know why we didn't show interest in bryant johnson from the cardinals? He would ve been an upgrade to any of our wide outs!
  • Johnson is hardly an upgrade. He would be more of the same. He's never had 50 catches in his career
  • thats a rediculous statement
  • did he catch the ball though?
  • too much money for too little production... this guy used to be something in his early days but definetely a nice thought
  • People, he's not an upgrade. Trust me I'm a Niners fan,I was intersted when we got him but he sucks. Alex Smith dropped a 40 yard bomb right in his hands and he dropped it. He misewell not have hands.
  • everyone knows as soon as you get a contract with the niners, all of your football skills decrease!!! WHO KNOWS how good he is now that he isn't a niner!
  • Ouch. My 49er fan base just took a blow. It's not my fault our Head Coach is a Douchbag.
  • Just draft Hardy and be done with it
  • If he's affordable, he's gotta be better than BAM Childress...
  • I_bleed_green has got it right..James Hardy has got to be Harold Carmichael's illegitmate child or a product of a cloning experiment..he single handidly kept Indiana in the game against Penn State this year when they wouldn't have been had he not been on the field for them..he toasted Justin King (even though King was overrated)all day...i think he would be a great pick up in the late first or move up in the early second round if he is still available
  • yeah, we really need a tall reciever...hardy is a great route runner for his size...and his size is unbelievable...6'6....he could be our plaxico....we did excellent moving the ball between the 20's last year, just couldnt get it done in the red zone....even as a rookie, hardys size would be a great way to start filling that void...
