During an interview with Andrea Kremer of the NFL Network, New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis was asked if head coach Rex Ryan has any say when it comes to his future with Gang Green.
“Nah, I wouldn’t think. I’m sure he’ll have a say so, but overall, no,” Revis said, per NFL.com. “I mean, no, you know? It starts from the top. It starts with (team owner) Woody Johnson.”
Specifically, Johnson’s potential unwillingness to make Revis the game’s highest-paid corner on the heels of major knee surgery. Revis acknowledged that Johnson’s stance on a new mega-deal, “might be a situation.”
I agree with Revis, I think his future hinges on Johnson and with how poorly the Jets have been run, you never know what kind of bad decision is next.
