The injury bugged has hit the Raiders offense hard this season.  Darren McFadden is looking like he’ll miss this weekends week 9 match up against the Denver Broncos according to Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times.  McFadden went down in week 7 against the Chiefs and the Raiders were hoping the week 8 bye would be enough time for McFadden to heal. The Raiders are planning on having McFadden back for the week 10 Chargers match up. The Raiders will start Michael Bush at running back.  Bush doesn’t have the explosiveness that McFadden has, but he is a proven back in the NFL.  Don’t be surprised if you see rookie Taiwan Jones getting a lot of carries this weekend.  Bush will be the bruising back while Jones is the quick speedy guy. McFadden Likely to Miss Sunday's Game

It appears more likely that the Raiders will be without running back Darren McFadden for Sunday’s game at the Coliseum vs. the Denver Broncos. Several reporters who cover the team reported seeing McFadden on crutches Wednesday, with his right foot still in a walking boot. McFadden sprained the foot early in the Raiders’ 28-0 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs Oct. 23, Oakland’s...

Raiders' Jackson says Palmer looked sharp in return to practice

Now that Carson Palmer knows more than 15 plays, we're expecting some improvement in his second game with the Oakland Raiders.

WR Houshmandzadeh rejoins Palmer with Raiders

The Oakland Raiders signed wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh to a contract on Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Houshmandzadeh, who played with the Cincinnati Bengals, is no stranger to coach Hue Jackson and quarterback Carson Palmer. Palmer and Houshmandzadeh actually practiced during the former's self-imposed retirement. The 34-year-old wideout hasn't played...

Raiders Sign Free Agent WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh

Tuesday the Oakland Raiders decided to bring veteran free agent wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh for a workout.  Later in the afternoon Raiders personnel confirmed they reached an agreement with Houshmandzadeh. In essence coach Hue Jackson liked what he saw from the 34 old, wide receiver, enough to provide him with the veteran minimum for the [...]

Raiders' Jackson: Houshmandzadeh deal 'wasn't Carson's idea'

This one seemed obvious: You bring in a veteran passer like Carson Palmer and -- on a team with mostly young wideouts -- he asks for veteran T.J. Houshmandzadeh, who enjoyed his best seasons with the quarterback in Cincinnati. But this signing wasn't Palmer's doing.

Palmer 'comfortable' with Raiders' attack after bye week

The Raiders are hoping a drastically different Carson Palmer takes the field Sunday. Rushed into service against the Chiefs in Week 7, he scattered interceptions across the field and admitted to the media it was a "complete shock" to play.

Raiders sign WR Houshmandzadeh (AP)

The Oakland Raiders signed wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh to a contract on Tuesday, reuniting him with his former quarterback Carson Palmer. Palmer and Houshmandzadeh were teammates in Cincinnati for six seasons and both had their greatest NFL success when they were together. Houshmandzadeh, 34, had been out of the league since playing with Baltimore last season but had been working out in...

Analysis: Houshmandzadeh Helps

The Raiders signed T.J. Houshmandzadeh to veteran minimum contract on Tuesday. Houshmandzadeh is familiar with Hue Jackson and Carson Palmer from their days together in Cincinnati. Palmer also worked out with Houshmandzadeh during his “retirement.” Aside from Houshmandzadeh’s familiarity with Jackson and Palmer, what does he bring to the table as a receiver? Houshmandzadeh is [...]

Bush Ready to Roll vs. Tebow's Broncos

Broncos coach John Fox knows Darren McFadden isn’t expected to play Sunday, but he also knows it’s not likely to make much of a difference in the Raiders’ game plan against his team Sunday. “You know when you play the Raiders you’re going to play a physical, up-front team that’s going to pound it at you, running the ball,” he said on a conference call this week. ...
