On Friday former Dallas Cowboys fullback Darryl  “Mosse” Johnston spoke with KTCK-AM 1310 in Dallas via the Dallas Morning News.  He was asked if people call him by the his nickname, “Moose” when he travels around the country to do various games on television with FOX.

“They flip me the bird in Philly,” replied Johnston.  “It’s good. There are Cowboys fans everywhere. People recognize me as Moose. I think that’ll always be a part of who I am. It’s fun. We have Cowboy fans in Washington, New York, Philadephia, all over the country. When you talk about America’s Team, I think the moniker for the Dallas Cowboys really fits because we have a fan base that extends to every city.”

It’s really not a surprise at all that fans in the city of Philadelphia would flip the middle finger to a former or current opposing player.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a city that lacks as much class as Philadelphia.  I have to say though, at least they’re consistent.

Asante Samuel Takes to Twitter to Ponder Where He Will Be Traded

Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl cornerback Asante Samuel has never been one to be quiet when displeased. After Eagles general manager Howie Roseman spoke broadly about having a “surplus” at the CB position when questioned about Samuel’s future with the team, Asante decided to take matters into his own hands. He took to Twitter to ask fans where he should go if the Eagles decide...

Dallas Cowboys Quote Trivia, Part 1

New idea for an off-season series: Quote Trivia. The idea is that I will find various quotes and will post quizzes about those quotes. I don’t have Fred Goodwin’s collection of Cowboys books (see his Dallas Cowboys Books Blog on Facebook or his Q&A pieces on, but mine isn’t bad. My source for today’s quizzes are old issues of the Dallas Morning News, but...

Let the Tagging Begin!

Starting today, the Philadelphia Eagles and the 31 other teams in the NFL have two weeks to apply to franchise tag to  one player who would otherwise be a free agent. For Philadelphia, the coming two weeks translate to a single question: Will the team franchise DeSean Jackson? And this question begs yet another query: If the Eagles do apply the franchise tag to Jackson, will...

Anthony Spencer Influenced Mock Off-Season(s)

Anthony Spencer OLB Dallas will go one of three ways with Anthony Spencer: 1. Let him walk via free agency 2. Work out a long term deal 3. Franchise him In this mock, I’m picking the fan’s least favorite scenario and franchising him, counting $8.8 mil. against the 2012 CAP. I would NEVER do this, but Jerry is unpredictable, so I’m just mocking a “what-if”…sorry folks…...
