Following his abysmal performance Sunday night versus the Dallas Cowboys, Giants Head Coach Tom Coughlin wouldn’t say if David Wilson was the starter or not going forward. Wilson on the other had said that he would continue to work hard.
“I’m just gonna keep working hard. I’m at the bottom now. So nowhere to go but up from here. That’s really all I got.”
Wilson has a very high ceiling, but he needs to learn how to handle the football properly, instead of wasting a roster spot for another running back, when its clear they could use all the help they can get at linebacker, the Giants should look to bring in a former player to help mentor Wilson.
Derrick Ward has been very outspoken about taking on that role, but it looks like his attempts have fallen short. Another name could be Tiki Barber, but given his current relationship with the team that is doubtful.
