PLAYERS: David Wilson
TEAMS: New York Giants
New York Giants running back David Wilson may have landed himself in Tom Coughlin‘s doghouse with an early fumble in Week 1 of the 2012 NFL season, but the former 2012 first round pick (No. 32 overall) out of Virginia Tech stayed on course and slowly but surely began to earn the trust of his coaches and teammates. Photo Credit: Giants.com Despite finishing his rookie campaign with just 358 rushing yards on 71 carries, Wilson did manage to go fumble-free the rest of the year and looks to take things to the next level in his second season after the departure of Ahmad Bradshaw. The 5-9, 205-pound back definitely put some serious explosiveness on display in various positions, averaging 5.0 yards per carry and finding the end zone from six, 14, 40 and 52 yards out on the ground. Wilson maintained more consistency and did even more damage in the return game—taking a kickoff 97 yards to the house and leading the league with 1,533 kickoff return yards at 26.9 yards per return (sixth-best in...

Brandon Myers looking forward to the opportunities he’ll get in the Giants offense

Giants tight end Brandon Myers recently spoke with the Newark Star-Ledger and was asked if he’s disappointed with what is essentially a one year deal he got from the Giants this offseason after having a great year in Oakland last season. It all worked out for the best. I’m with a great organization, a proven team with a proven quarterback (Eli Manning), in an offense that...

The Top Five Issues Facing the 2013 New York Giants

If you take quick a look at the New York Giants, there was not a whole lot of difference between the 2011 club that won Super Bowl XLVI and the 2012 version.  A 9-7 record, an inconsistent defense and an offensive that struggled to put up points in some games was the recurring theme over the past two years.  But when you look beneath the surface, there was a lot more wrong with...
