NFL Draft Zone:
A week ago David Wilson the former Hokie was in the dog house of the New York Giants coaching staff, but after a couple of great weeks, David Wilson is playing like a first round draft pick. David Wilson rushed seven times for 35 yards versus the 49ers in Week 6. Wilson’s biggest impact came on special teams with a 66-yard kickoff return and another one for 46 yards that was called back on a holding penalty. He did have a 20-yard run, but didn’t have a carry until the game was decided in the fourth quarter. The coaching staff doesn’t yet trust him with a significant offensive role in a big game, but their confidence is growing.
