28-year old safety Dawan Landry was a shrew addition to the defense over the off-season. He has played in 11 games for the Jaguars so far this year and he has 70 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1/2 a sack, 1 forced fumble, 4 passes defensed and 2 tackles for a loss. Landry has now played in 77 games in his first six years in the NFL and he has 432 tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 33 passes defensed and 11 interceptions (3 returned for TDs). The Jaguars should try to keep Landry around for a while as he has been very solid for them this year.

Every time I see Marcedes Lewis’s name, I picture a car that vaguely looks like Mercedes but is actually a cheap Taiwanese knock-off. The logo looks the same, but the words around it read “Marcedes-Bonz.”
Marcedes fulfilled the promise of his name on Sunday, dropping the widest of wide-open passes that was oh-so-gently tossed to him as he stood alone in the end zone. A season...

As Jacksonville looks for their next head coach after sending Jack Del Rio on his way, could Rob Ryan be in the mix to take over the reins? If the team is looking to make a splash, Ryan could fit the bill.
Remember Jason Hill? The Jaguars WR who was trying to ‘make it to the Pro Bowl too’ and said that Revis wasn’t all that … well … he’s just been cut by the Jaguars.
Cap tip to Jeff S. for sending this in.
By now, you're probably aware that Jack Del Rio was fired as head coach of the Jaguars. And just like that, we have our first official firing of the 2011 NFL season. Always good to get that first firing out of the way. I feel like it helps break the ice and lets other teams get on with the delightful business of putting bad head coaches out of work just before Christmas. I...
Over the past several years, numerous stories have emerged regarding the possibility that owner Wayne Weaver is selling all or part of the Jaguars. Weaver consistently denies those reports. Most recently, on the night of the team’s October 24 Monday night home game, Weaver called ESPN’s Chris Mortensen to say that the team will not…
