Ron Dayne - to a Wisconsin fan you don't have to say anything more before memories of back-to-back Rose Bowl championships and many other great memories come flooding back. Most of us can never forget his career, after all he is the all-time rushing leader in FBS history.  But, I'm not telling you anything you don't already know about the living legend. However, his legend could be growing this year as earlier on Tuesday Dayne was announced as a nominee to the College Football Hall of Fame. He is one of 77 former players and 5 coaches named as  potential members of the class of 2013 to the Hall of Fame. It's not an easy process as the selection criteria is selective to say the least.  "It’s an enormous honor to just be on the ballot when you think that more than 4.92 million people have played college football," said NFF President & CEO Steven J. Hatchell. "The Hall’s requirement of being a First-Team All-American creates a much smaller pool of only 1,500 individuals who are even eligible to be on the ballot, so being in today’s group of 77 names means an individual is truly among the greatest to ever have played the game, and we are proud to announce their names today.” So, when will we know if Dayne is selected for the Hall of Fame's 2013 class? The names will be revealed at noon eastern on May 7th.  Dayne will certainly have some stiff competition to say the least. Names like Tommie Frazier, Brian Bosworth, Tedy Bruschi, Eric Crouch, Raghib Ismail, Orlando Pace, Sterling Sharpe, Vinny Testaverde, and a host of other amazing players dot the 77 nominees.
