Antrel Rolle wants to see a little more of the dog from the New York Giants, and not just the defense. This dog isn't a blitz though. The veteran safety who is the sparkplug on that side of the ball said Wednesday that the Giants (7-5) need to start showing the tenacity of one of those nasty dogs who is not out to make any friends if it wants to get back to the playoffs. The offense has to become more consistent. The defense can no longer show signs of being soft at times. It's time to get nasty again, Rolle said. The season has come down to four games for the defending Super Bowl champions and now is the time to pick it up. -- Online: http://pro32.ap.org/poll and http://twitter.com/AP-NFL

Giants T Sean Locklear suffers nasty leg injury

Sean Locklear is a nine-year NFL veteran. Hopefully his career didn’t end last night against the Redskins after this play late in the 4th quarter. Giants lineman Chris Snee knows the situation with Locklear’s knee doesn’t look good and said so after the team’s loss. “Whatever recovery is ahead of him, I am not quite sure the extent of it, just know it is not good,” he...

New York Giants defense takes aim at Drew Brees and the Saints

The New York Giants are mad. After their Monday night loss to the Redskins, those that are students of the game knew that they would be. Atypically for them at this stage of the season that means that they next team up on their roster has to pay a large tax for the events of the game prior.  Please Click Here To Read This Story

Diehl back on starting line for champion Giants

Veteran offensive tackle David Diehl is back in the New York Giants' starting lineup, except it wasn't the way he wanted. Diehl was thrust back into the front line in the fourth quarter of Monday night's 17-16 loss to the Washington Redskins when Sean Locklear suffered a major knee injury that will sideline him for the rest of the season. Locklear had been one of the...

Glum Giants plot strong stretch run after loss

Despite having a one-game lead in the NFC East with four to go, the New York Giants may need to win out to make the playoffs A frustrated Tom Coughlin made that assessment on Tuesday, knowing that the Giants' 17-16 loss to the Washington Redskins Monday did more than cut their division lead in half. The defeat left them at a surprising 2-3 in the NFC East with one division...

Giants’ Monday Night Football Loss Causes Man to Hit Wife, Shoot at Police

We realize that sports can make many people upset, but one Florida man clearly took his fandom too far. Early Tuesday morning, Richard Braccia was still taking in the aftermath of his New York Giants’ 17-15 loss to Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins. According to The Star-Banner, Braccia had been drinking for four hours and is also addicted to pills, a combination that...

Canty out to stuff Saints offense

The big guy from The Bronx deserves a cheer. New York Giants defensive tackle Chris Canty doesn't take playing for his hometown team for granted, especially around the holidays. Through the charity organization he formed ( chriscantyfoundation.org ), Canty has taken a hands-on approach while trying to help those less fortunate. That includes sponsoring toy giveaways this month...

Giants fans brawl with Redskins fans

After watching this video, it looks like a couple of Giants fans took it upon themselves to beat up a bunch of Redskins fans.   var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text...

Jason Pierre-Paul says it will be easier to face Drew Brees than RG3

The New York Giants’ defense had a hard time with Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III this past Monday night.  Defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is happy that they’ll be playing a typical offense then they play the Saints on Sunday. “The Redskins got a great scheme going on there, especially with their quarterback they got, and just playing that option, man, is crazy,...

Osi praises Brees despite teammate Rolle's lecture

The other day Antrel Rolle went on a mini-rant scolding his New York Giants teammates for gushing over opponent Robert Griffin III before the team played the Washington Redskins. Yesterday, despite Rolle's call for his team to get "back to being nasty," Osi Umenyiora was downright complimentary towards Drew Brees — the quarterback the Giants will face this Sunday...

Dan Snyder expresses feelings towards the Giants

The NFC East is full of passionate players, fans and rivalries and the Washington Redskins- New York Giants rivalry is no different. Robert Griffin III has given the Redskins organization something they haven’t had in years and it is evident whenever he steps on the field. This past Monday night game against the Giants was no different.  The Redskins squeaked by with a 17-16 win...

New Orleans Saints at New York Giants: Week 14 NFL Pick

New Orleans Saints (5-7) at New York Giants (7-5) Earlier this week, I outlined why the Redskins should be considered the favorites to win the NFC East. The Redskins, presumably, have the tiebreaker, by virtue of their better divisional record. They are a game back right now, but they are almost definitely going favored in each of their last four games, while the Giants will be favored...

Redskins beat Giants 17-16, NYG are 7-5 on the season

The Washington Redskins (6-6) beat the New York Giants 17-16, this Monday night at FedEx Field from Landover, MD. Robert Griffin III and Alfred Morris killed the Giants once again, and beating them in this go around.
