If you play for the Redskins defense, you’d have to be a saint not to get a bit frustrated at the other side of the locker room at some point.
I mean, using just the crude measure of points-per-game, the defense ranks seventh in the NFL, yielding 19.8 per game. The six teams ahead of them — San Francisco, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Houston, Cincinnati and Detroit — each have at least five wins.

The Washington Redskins have put cornerback Phillip Buchanon on season-ending injured reserve.
Buchanon has been troubled by neck and knee problems and appeared in only two games this season after being suspended for the first four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
