Round 2 of the best rivalry in the entire NFL kicks off today at 4:25pm as our Steelers and the hated Baltimore Ravens take to the field of battle at M&T Bank Stadium. We’ve been saying since the Steelers were sitting at 2-3 that every game was a must win game. The margin for error was small then, it’s even smaller now but that window is still open even if our team should lose today. The Steelers must win the remaining four games on their schedule after today in order to get into the post season; if they do that and the Bengals are still either tied with the Steelers or at least 1 game back, Pittsburgh will get a post season berth. That’s a long way off though and this game is going to tell a lot about the resiliency of the Pittsburgh players and how badly they want to atone for the disaster they put on display last weekend in Cleveland. We talk frequently, as Steelers fans, about how well our team responds to adversity. When the chips are down, when every sign points to a loss...

If Charlie Batch struggles, would Tomlin really go to Brian Hoyer?
Now that Ben Roethlisberger has been officially ruled out, Charlie Batch is the starter and Brian Hoyer is the backup. My how times have changed for our Steelers this season. Down to their 3rd string signal caller and a backup who wasn't even on an NFL roster until two weeks ago. So what if Batch plays and tosses a couple bad interceptions in the first quarter, or even the first...
Steelers Winners And Losers – Week 13 – Ravens
The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Baltimore Ravens 23-20 Sunday to move their record 7-5 on the season. Below are the players, or group of players, that I thought had winning and losing performances in the game.
Charlie Batch - Batch provided the best 25-of-36 game of his career Sunday as he threw for 276 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Sure, he missed a wide open Mike...
Roethlisberger chose not to pratice, here we go with the drama again
Here we go again with the Ben Roethlisberger injury drama. Honestly, what more does the man have to do as the leader of the Pittsburgh Steelers offense and a leader on the Steelers team in general, for fans and media to stop hounding him every time he makes a controversial decision. It’s what Ben does, so what, can’t we get past this by now? Ok, what was I thinking, the media...
Steelers hanging around behind resurgent Batch
The Pittsburgh Steelers probably won't win the AFC North.
That doesn't mean they're ready to cede the spotlight just yet.
The Steelers rallied to a 23-20 victory over the rival Baltimore Ravens on Sunday to snap a two-game losing streak and keep them in the thick of the AFC playoff picture. It's a victory few outside the locker room saw coming, one led by a bunch...
Charlie Batch Passes to End Zone Microphone Guy (Video)
Pittsburgh Steelers QB Charlie Batch was pretty accurate on Sunday completing 25/36 passes for 276 yards, but this was the one that got away. His great white buffalo you might say. Mike Wallace somehow found himself wide open in the end zone, but Batch over threw him by a mile and hit the End Zone guys microphone and broke off the center piece. Haha, good stuff Charlie. It...
Batch Beats Ravens
The second largest home crowd in Ravens history watched Charlie Batch rally the Pittsburgh Steelers to a 23-20 win.
Mike Tomlin and John Harbaugh share tense handshake following Steelers-Ravens
Another Harbaugh, another handshake issue. This time, though, it was Ravens head coach John Harbaugh who got into it with the opposing coach during the handshake. Even though Harbaugh came over to congratulate Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, Tomlin looked as though he was going to run right off the field without speaking to Harbaugh following the teams 23-20 victory.Harbaugh made...
Steelers’ “Young Money Crew” Needs a Credit Check
I find it almost humorous how quickly articles can change in my mind through the course of a Pittsburgh Steelers’ football game. There were so many things to be critical of as the game wore on yesterday as the Steelers seemed headed for a third straight loss. Despite the fact they won yesterday, I can’t sit here today and wax poetically about everything I saw. In my mind, Mike...
Batch earns Steelers' confidence in win
Pittsburgh could get Ben Roethlisberger back this week for a home game against the San Diego Chargers, but the Steelers have confidence in Charlie Batch if he cannot go because of his shoulder and rib injuries. Batch had his best performance in a Steelers uniform when he completed 25 of 36 passes for 276 yards in a 23-20 victory over Baltimore, including rallying the Steelers...
Steelers Injury Report: Ike Taylor Needs MRI On Ankle/Lower Leg
The Pittsburgh Steelers knocked off the Baltimore Ravens 23-20 Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium and head coach Mike Tomlin updated the injury situation following the game.
Tomlin said cornerback Ike Taylor, who left the game during the first defensive series, suffered a lower right ankle or leg injury and will need an MRI. Tomlin also said that wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders suffered...

Steelers take early lead on Ravens
The Steelers, led by Jonathan Dwyer and Charlie Batch on their first drive, have taken a 3-0 lead on the Ravens.
Dwyer ran through the Ravens’ defense to help get Shaun Suisham in field goal range. Batch complemented Dwyer’s tough running with timely completions.
The Ravens have the ball for a second time about halfway through the first quarter.
Prediction Saturday: Ravens go for 16th straight home win
The Ravens will meet the Steelers for the second time in three weeks. The Steelers will be without high profile players Ben Roethlisberger and LaMarr Woodley, but get back safety Troy Polamalu.
Two weeks ago, the Ravens defeated Pittsburgh 13-10 at Heinz Field. I expect the same result, but a different score this time.
The Ravens haven’t lost a home game since Week 13 of the 2010...
The Terrible Podcast – Steelers Ravens Week 13 Game Recap Episode
Season 3, Episode 50 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd and i get right after talking about the 23-20 win by the Pittsburgh Steelers over the Baltimore Ravens. We give praise to the effort put forth by Charlie Batch in the game at the top of the show and bring you up to date on the injuries suffered in the game to Ike Taylor, Will Johnson, and Emmanuel Sanders to...
Who Is This ‘Kanas State’ That ESPN Speaks Of?
I guess Kanas State must’ve had a helluva year to get to the Fiesta Bowl. We’d never heard of that school until ESPN’s BCS selection show. Is this a fail that’ll get an intern fired? Probably not, since so few people even care about Kansas State and Calvin Klein.
Remember what we said on Friday about Northern Illinois and the MAC? The conference went about its business,...
