According to Adam Caplan, Okoye agreed to a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, ending the Bengals "effort" to inject a pass-rushing defensive tackle into their rotation. Okoye was originally scheduled to visit with the Bengals last week, but a scheduling conflict forced the team to reschedule, which was expected to take place either this Sunday or Monday. The deal is worth $2 million according to the Tampa Bay Tribune, of which $700,000 is guaranteed. As for the Bengals it's not a blow by any means. With a rotation comprised of Domata Peko, Geno Atkins and Pat Sims, the team is fairly strong at the position, though a player like Okoye would have impacted the overall depth, especially replacing someone like Jonathan Fanene -- an inside pass rusher in passing situations. Nick Hayden, signed onto the 53-man roster after Sims' season-ending injury last year, gives the squad four defensive tackles signed through the 2012 season. var switchTo5x=true; ...
