Hey 12's! Last Sunday, Louis DeCosmo and the Degree Men crew were nice enough to invite me and other members of Seahawks blogsphere out to an unreal day at CenturyLink Field, promoting their new product, Motion Sense. Motion Sense is the brand new technology from Degree Men, and what makes it so extraordinary is that it the deoderant starts working when you start moving, as opposed to when you start sweating. Degree had brought in two ex-Seahawks to help them promote it; former kicker Norm Johnson and former All-Pro fullback Mack Strong! After meeting in a sweet suite and meeting with Mack and Norm, we were taken on a tour of the stadium. And it is a top class facility. My god. Afterwards, we hit the field and went through some drills with Mack and Norm. They were nice enough to take time out of their day and speak with the media attending, including myself. You can find the interview with Norm Johnson here: Norm Johnson Interview - Seahawks blog, Seattle Seahawks Features, Moments in time and stay tuned to the site for the interview with Mack Strong! Thanks again, Degree Men!

After another strong performance today, Irvin went on Twitter laughed at his doubters. I was a reach at 15 though! Bruce Irvin earning respect around the league

When Seattle took DE Bruce Irvin in the first roiund everyone was in shock. I remember thinking what a great pick, because the Seahawks had a great scheme to put the thin passer rusher in. Well he is continuing to shine, yesterday he had two sacks in Week 5 and is up to 4.5 for the season.  The Seahawks have already posted 16 sacks in five games this year after managing just 33...

Seahawks' Best Defense in NFL Will Provide Dangerous Matchup for Patriots' Offense Sunday

Pete Carroll has quietly been building an immoveable force over in the Pacific Northwest and it's time to take notice. Through five games, the Seahawks lead the NFL in total defense, allowing just 258.6 yards per game. What's scarier is how well balanced the team is. They're fifth in pass yards allowed (192 per game) and third in rushing yards allowed (66.6 per game)...

Winning, Seahawks benefit from Newtonian law…

Winning football takes wins.Winning their 3rd game in Week 5, the Seahawks are keeping a simple football formula, defend. The Seahawks limited Carolina’s offense to 223 total yards. Cam Newton had a paltry 141 yards on 41% passing. Carolina’s rushing game was led by Newton’s 42 yards on 7 carries.Wiki, help me out with…Newton’s first law of motion ………..Sir Isaacâ...

Cam Newton has another poor performance in loss to the Seahawks

For as much promise as Cam Newton and the Panthers showed just a season ago, they've shown nothing but disappointment so far in 2012, dropping to 1-4 following today's loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Once again, Cam Newton couldn't find his rhythm, completing less than 50% of his passes on the day. The bad news is, help is not on the way. The Panthers have their bye...

Seattle defense overcomes mistakes

Considering the unique challenges the Carolina offense presented, Pete Carroll believes the Seattle Seahawks' defensive performance against the Panthers could be the best since he returned to the NFL as Seattle's coach in 2009. The Seahawks leaned on their defense heavily in Sunday's 16-12 win over Carolina to make up for three turnovers early in the second half that...

Replacement ref stands by Packers-Seahawks Hail Mary call

Lance Easley may go down as one of the most infamous NFL officials of all time, and he only officiated a few regular-season games. As you probably know, Easley is the referee who ruled that Packers cornerback M.D. Jennings and Seahawks receiver Golden Tate had simultaneous possession on this Hail Mary play that gave Seattle a win over Green Bay. The replay appeared to show Easley...

Seahawks top Panthers 16-12

The Seattle Seahawks need their tough defense to make things easier on rookie quarterback Russell Wilson. The plan worked perfectly against Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. Wilson threw the go-ahead touchdown pass to Golden Tate late in the third quarter, while the defense frustrated Newton and the Panthers throughout Sunday's 16-12 road win. Wilson threw for a season...

Seahawks Announce Their Inactives For Week 5

Cornerback Marcus Trufant is active for Sunday's game after he was listed as questionable because of a sore back. Trufant has been Seattle's nickel back this season, coming onto the field in formations that call for five defensive backs. Byron Maxwell and Danny Gorrer practiced at that spot on Wednesday and Thursday when Trufant was sitting out because of the back. Gorrer...

VIDEO: Time for a Change?

Seattle Sounders: Team Allowing Fans To Rehire Their Manager

Soundersfc.com There’s an old saying in sports that if management and coaches start listening to the fans then they’ll soon be sitting with them. This could very well come true in North America’s Major League Soccer (MLS) as the Seattle Sounders are allowing the team’s fans to decide the fate of general manager Adrian Hanauer. The Sounders, who average the highest attendance...

Seahawks 16, Panthers 12

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson pieced together enough on Seattle's drives into Carolina Panthers territory to make it a happy homecoming. The Seahawks won 16-12 Sunday at Bank of America Stadium, where the Panthers couldn't overcome quarterback Cam Newton's struggles. It took one touchdown for the Seahawks (3-2) to win for the first time in...

Week 5: Seahawks at Panthers Game Thread

The Seahawks are on the road again this week taking on yet another opponent they should be able to beat in the Panthers.  The lynchpin of Carolina's offense is still Cam Newton, who through four weeks has been putting up similar numbers to those from his Pro Bowl rookie season.  He's getting plenty of help in the ground game from DeAngelo Williams, but his only...
