Wide receiver Deion Branch is back with the New England Patriots.

Branch signed with the Patriots on Tuesday, rejoining the team that cut him three weeks ago, according to the NFL.com.

Branch should have no trouble fitting back into the Patriots offense after playing six of his 11 NFL seasons with the team. Branch and Tom Brady hooked up on 51 receptions for 702 yards and five touchdowns in 2011.

The Patriots were able to sign Branch after the team released Greg Salas early Tuesday.

The Patriots also added tight end Kellen Winslow early Tuesday after Aaron Hernandez suffered a high ankle sprain on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

Tom Brady Remains Biggest Key to Making Sure Patriots Offense Remains Well-Oiled Machine

Tom Brady threw for over 300 yards on Sunday, and he also threw a touchdown pass. Those numbers aren't especially horrible, but given the lofty expectations for Brady and the rest of the Patriots offense, it certainly wasn't a great day. More importantly, the offense as a whole struggled, scoring only one touchdown in a 20-18 upset loss at the hands of the Cardinals. It&...

Fran Tarkenton, not Brady, shows his age

At age 72, Fran Tarkenton still has his opinions on the NFL, but maybe he should start keeping them to himself. The former quarterback said both Peyton Manning and Tom Brady aren't at the level they used to be. Tarkenton, who was a draft pick of the AFL's Boston Patriots in 1961, told the Pioneer Press that "Brady hasn't looked like Brady in two years." Tarkenton...

New England Patriots: Aaron Hernandez Out at Least 6 Weeks

Not only did the New England Patriots lose a shoe-in of a game to the Arizona Cardinals, but they lost TE Aaron Hernandez to a possible high ankle sprain.  It appears Hernandez will miss at least the next 6 week.  Being owned in 99% of Yahoo leagues, there is going to be a ton of TE waiver wire action going on this week.  Normally I would start by telling you who to go pick up...

Will Wes Welker get a fresh start now that Hernandez is out for weeks?

If one of the Patriots’ Swiss Army Knives Julian Edelman gets cut this week, its pretty much safe to say it’s because he took out one of the team’s superstars. Edelman rolled up underneath tight end Aaron Hernandez’s ankle during Sunday’s loss against the Arizona Cardinals as he made his way downfield after catching a screen pass from Tom Brady.
