DeMarcus Ware means it when he says he’s done.

The former NFL linebacker said he had received interest throughout the season, but never gave any consideration to ending his retirement and re-entering the league.

By the sound of it — and judging from previous interviews — the last time Ware gave real thought to playing was last July. Since then, it sounds like he’s been satisfied with the retired life.

Ware, now 35, posted 138.5 sacks over an illustrious 12 year career with the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos. We have, sadly, seen the last of him as an NFL player.
