Free agent offensive tackle Demetrius Bell is visiting the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday and will head to Philadelphia this weekend to spend some time with the Eagles as well.
The Steelers could use an upgrade at the tackle position and the Eagles need a player to fill in for Jason Peters now that it was reported today that he ruptured his Achilles while working out. No one knows at this point when Peters will play in 2012, if at all.

Jason Peters Ruptures his Achilles Tendon
Left Tackle Jason Peters potentially suffered a career ending injury rupturing his Achilles Tendon while working out in his home in Texas. This will definitely hurt the Eagles in large part because he was our best offensive lineman, and was a huge down the field run blocker clearing wholes and paving the way for running back LeSean McCoy. With Peters being out, the Eagles are going...
Bell Unlikely To Toll In Green Bay
Free agent tackle will probably be too expensive for Packers
The Packers may still be interested in Demetrius Bell, but signing him will be next to impossible. In fact, the four-year veteran from Northwestern State (La.)...

Philadelphia’s O-Line Takes a Hit: Jason Peters Suffers Ruptured Achilles
What was one of the few areas of the Eagles you felt pretty confident about going into the 2012 season? The strength and stability of the offensive line for the first time in ages?

Bell will meet...
Next Man Up for Eagles...
As Kenny Kenemeka reminds us, there's still a good chance of Jason Peters making a full comeback from his ruptured Achilles tendon... medical technology and surgical technique have come a long way, and with personal dedication to rehab, Peters may be back at left tackle. But it most likely won't be in 2012. Maybe 2013 at best. Until then, it's "Next Man Up'...
