Denver Broncos 2012 Training Camp Day 2 Practice Report
Nearly 3,000 Broncos fans gathered at Broncos Headquarters at Dove Valley for the second day of the team’s 2012 training camp… and nearly 3,000 fans were sent home 15 minutes later as the rain started drizzling and lightning threatened ominously nearby. The Broncos moved the practice into the South Suburban Sports Dome down the street (around 40-50 fans stood outside to cheer them on outdoors, but fans were not permitted inside).
“It was a little different,” Demaryius Thomas said. “Not enough room, but we got a lot of work done.”
Fortunately, so did we. Media were still allowed in the bubble, and our practice report from the session follows.
GOIN’ DEEP
Manning looked excellent in the bubble. He completed roughly 80% of his passes across all seven-on-seven or 11-on-11 drills...

Manning over nostalgia, focused on football
Quarterback Peyton Manning took part in his first training camp practice with the Broncos on Thursday, calling it "another step" as he works toward returning to game action for the first time since 2010. Manning said he is passed the emotional part of leaving the Colts and is focused solely on getting prepared for the season. "I haven't gotten too nostalgic...
Manning searching for timing with his new targets
Peyton Manning's arm strength looks just fine. It's his timing with his new targets that's the biggest question mark facing the four-time MVP as he embarks on his comeback with the Denver Broncos.
Manning doesn't appear bothered by the nerve injury in his neck that led to a series of operations, sapped his power and sidelined the league's most durable active...
Peyton shines in 1st padded practice
Peyton Manning's first full practice in pads in 18 months drew rave reviews from his coaches and teammates -- and at least one suggestion that his health is no longer even an issue.

Denver Broncos: Tim Tebow Undervalued
Anybody watching the NFL's coverage of the opening of training camps this week got an eyeful of Peyton Manning going through what amounted to quarterback calisthenics.
Not real exciting, but at least as interesting as regular season Major League Baseball.
Now, what might have made it more interesting than baseball is if Tim Tebow hadn't been dealt out of the...

Denver's defense has to hold up its end of deal
Peyton Manning can't do this all by himself.
Denver's defense will have to do its part if the Broncos are going to have the special kind of season so many expect of them. Football chief John Elway swapped unconventional quarterback Tim Tebow for the only four-time MVP in NFL history, seeking to add to the two Super Bowl trophies he won during his Hall of Fame playing career...
NEW SERIES – On the Mend: QB Peyton Manning
Manning has been cleared for full participation in camp and no one expects a set back. The neck is strong and the nerves have regenerated. He's good to go...but you shouldn't discount the fact that this guy has had three neck surgeries and sat out a year.

The Peyton Manning era in Denver drew closer Thursday morning as the Broncos opened training camp just four months after the future Hall of Fame quarterback was trying to prove he still had the goods.
