Denver Broncos' 2024 NFL offseason workout schedule officially revealed
Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The Denver Broncos have something to prove this offseason. Sure, with all of the things they have working against them, they will have it tough, but after the 2024 NFL Draft, they will genuinely feel like they are a team that can win and compete in games. They do not like the word rebuild.

So, in order to do that, they have to put in the work and show it. They have to let their game do all of the talking. Before they can do that, offseason workouts come. With Sean Payton as the head coach, you never know what you will get in the offseason. He is known for players liking what he does in the offseason and the way he handles things. So, we will see if that continues through his second season as the Broncos head coach.

On Friday, though, the NFL released the dates for their offseason workouts.

  • First day: April 15
  • OTA Offseason Workouts: May 21-23, May 28-30, June 3-6
  • Mandatory Minicamp: June 11-13

There are three phases of the voluntary workout program. Here are the descriptions of each phase per the NFL’s press release:

Phase One:

Phase One consists of the first two weeks of the program with activities limited to meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation only.

Phase Two:

Phase Two consists of the next three weeks of the program. On-field workouts may include individual or group instruction and drills, as well as “perfect play drills,” and drills and plays with offensive players lining up across from offensive players and defensive players lining up across from defensive players, conducted at a walk-through pace. No live contact or team offense vs. team defense drills are permitted.

Phase Three:

Phase Three consists of the next four weeks of the program. Teams may conduct a total of 10 days of organized team practice activity, or “OTAs”. No live contact is permitted, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are permitted.

The Broncos will use these workouts to get back in shape and get ready for training camp, and get the new guys acclimated to everything. It's going to be fun, and it will be here before you know it.
