PLAYERS: Peyton Manning
TEAMS: Denver Broncos
I’ve finally come to terms with how quickly the season ended for the Denver Broncos, although it ended in a rather unexpected way. The team had finally started to gel behind quarterback Peyton Manning during the second half of their week six-game in San Diego where the Chargers were dominating on both sides of the ball.  The Broncos came out in the second half as a team possessed and put up 35 points to shock their AFC rivals, and went into the bye week brimming with confidence. They didn’t lose again the regular season, finishing with 10 straight wins and the top overall playoff seed in the AFC. Against Baltimore at home, the Broncos had done enough to win their game until the inexplicable late touchdown that allowed the Ravens to tie the score, and then gutted through a lengthy overtime until the Ravens won the game on a late field goal. Considering the core of this team won 13 games, there’s plenty of talent ready to make another Super Bowl run, but teams that sit back complacent...

A person familiar with the situation says the Denver Broncos were forced to cut defensive lineman Elvis Dumervil after a delay in getting paperwork completed on a new contract that both parties had agreed to. The End of Doom and Gloom?

Elvis Dumervil is one half, not the better half, mind you, of ‘Doom and Gloom’, the Denver Broncos made up of Dumervil and All Pro Von Miller. Considering the Broncos demands this week, the band may be breaking up. Dumervil signed a hefty 6 year, 61.5 million dollar contract in 2010 with the Josh McDaniels regime, just before John Elway joined the Denver front office. A bit of...

Predicting Who Broncos Will Draft 28th Overall

(Joe Robbins/Getty Images) We would not be surprised to see the Denver Broncos make a few splashes this offseason. Between the Darrelle Revis situation and the many big-name free agents about to hit the open market, chances are that Denver will be buzzed about this spring. But once all of that buzz dies down, the draft will be right around the corner.  The Broncos currently have...

Chris Gronkowski became an unrestricted free agent after the Denver Broncos declined to issue a contract tender to the third-year fullback Friday. Jeff Saturday is still irked that the Colts did not push for perfection

Brett Favre is the Greatest Quarterback of All Time

What makes an elite quarterback? I’m not talking about elite in terms of fantasy value or who will top the league in 2013.No, what I want to know is what makes an all-time great, top of the heap, cream of the crop type of a quarterback? In my mind to be a part of the discussion you have to have a few things: at least one Super Bowl ring, at least 40,000 passing yards, at least 270...
