The fact that the Denver Broncos (5-0) scored 51 points last week, as many as as the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-5) have scored all season, (which was tweeted controversially by the Broncos) should suffice as the only piece of evidence needed for this weeks match-up. The Broncos will host the Jaguars this Sunday at 2:05pm at Sports Authority Field. Last week was yet another Peyton Manning show as he had 414 yards three touchdown passes and he even had the camera man fooled with a naked bootleg run that no one saw coming. Those impressive statistics prove that he is still on a hot streak however not only did he throw his first interception but Tony Romo was the more successful quarterback this game with 506 yards and five touchdowns. What won the game for Denver was a beautiful interception by Danny Trevathan that resulted in a  28 yard Matt Prater field goal to win the game. Denver has the Jaguars beat in every genre: yardage, points, third down conversions and time of possession. Going against the top offense in the league when you are a 22nd ranked defense is going to be tough, if impossible for the Jaguars. Defense is another story for the Broncos who have the third worst defense in the league. The backfield will need to protect Cecil Short who has 411 yards this season as well as up-and-comer Justin Blackmon who has been getting more passes lately and had 136 yards and a touchdown against the St. Louis Rams last week. Although it’s been said for several weeks now, it sounds like the Champ Bailey should be starting Sunday. Denver has given up the most passing yards in the NFL so he will be a much needed asset to the defense. With the good comes the bad considering in today’s practice Wesley Woodyard, Chris Harris and Robert Ayers didn’t participate. Keep a look to see their statuses for Sunday. If they are out that could be a detrimental hit for the Broncos. This week they might be able to get away with allowing yardage and a few points considering Manning and company should be able to pick up any slack however for the long term it would be nice to see them step it up now rather than later. This game is a no brainer, not to mention it has the largest spread in NFL history with 27 points. It can be considered practice for Manning’s reunion in Indianapolis next week. Denver Broncos 49 – Jacksonville Jaguars 20
