The Denver Broncos finally participated in the draft on Friday night after trading out of the first round on Thursday.

During the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos traded their 25th pick to the New England Patriots for a fourth rounder and the 31st pick. The Broncos then traded the 31st pick and the fourth rounder from New England to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 36th and their 4th round pick.

So with the second and third round being the big night for the Broncos, John Elway, Brian Xanders, John Fox and the rest of the staff got to work selecting the following players. Here are the selection along with the reactions on Twitter.

Broncos Select: Derrick Wolfe

With the 36th overall pick (4th in the second round) the Denver Broncos selected defensive tackle Derrick Wolfe from Cincinnati.

Reactions on twitter:

John Elway ‏ @johnelway

We've selected DT Derek Wolfe from Cincinnati with the 36th pick. Thrilled he's a Bronco!

Denver Broncos ‏ @Denver_Broncos

Wolfe finished his Bearcats career w/162 tackles, 19.5 sacks, 37 TFL, 3 FF and 3 FR.

John Elway ‏ @johnelway

Derek is a versatile DT who plays with great intensity! He can do a lot of things for us on the defensive line.

Michael Lombardi ‏ @michaelombardi

really liked Derek Wolf, much better than Worthy who got all the pub...

Brandon Spano Show ‏ @BrandonSpano

Wolfe is not bad. 70 tackles, 21.5 tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles and 9.5 sacks last season. Worthy, Thompson, Taamu rate higher tho

Robert Ayers Jr ‏ @1_900_ayersjr

Welcome to the Denver Broncos d line Derek Wolfe... Glad to have ya big dawg.. #letdowork

Denver Broncos ‏ @Denver_Broncos

Wolfe received All-America honors and was named Big East co-Defensive Player of the Year following his 2011 season at Cincinnati

Denver Broncos ‏ @Denver_Broncos

Wolfe said there wasn't a lot of pre-draft contact with the #Broncos, so he was "pretty shocked" when Denver selected him.

Dave Krieger ‏ @DaveKrieger

A lot of folks scrambling to learn about Derek Wolfe at #Broncosmedia center. Brass did a good job keeping lid on this.

Broncos Select: Brock Osweiler

The Broncos next pick in the second round was the 57th overall (25th in the second round) the Denver Broncos selected quarterback Brock Osweiler from Arizona State.

Osweiler was only a one year starter at Arizona State but is very talented at 6'7". Reaction from Twitter: Brock Osweiler ‏ @BrockOsweiler

I can't explain the emotions I am feeling at this moment. I am so blessed to join an organization with such amazing players coaches and fans

Adam Schefter ‏ @AdamSchefter

RT @PatrickMcEnroe: You give Peyton 3-4 years?? ... I do. Time to start grooming another young QB. Pick incoming, Patrick.

9NEWS Sports Denver ‏ @9NEWSSports

#Broncos select QB Brock Oswelier with the 57th pick overall.

Benjamin Hochman ‏ @nuggetsnews

Perhaps the #Nuggets could use this Osweiler guy against Bynum

John Elway ‏ @johnelway

Excited that Brock Osweiler is going to be a Bronco. Very talented & will have a great opportunity to learn from one of the best.

Mike Klis ‏ @MikeKlis

Osweiler is a one-year starter. Talented, big upside but raw. This reminds me of Tommy Maddox pick in 1992. The heir apparent to Elway.

Denver Broncos ‏ @Denver_Broncos

Osweiler set ASU records with 326 completions for 4,036 yds in 2011, while his 26 TD passes rank 4th on the school's single-season list.

Dave Krieger ‏ @DaveKrieger

By selecting Brock Osweiler at No. 57, John Elway completes overhaul of #Broncos' QB position -- present and future.

Denver Broncos ‏ @Denver_Broncos The tallest starting QB in the nation in 2011 (6-7), Osweiler became the first player ASU history to throw for more than 4,000 yds.
Denver Broncos ‏ @Denver_Broncos

Osweiler originally committed to Gonzaga for basketball before deciding to strictly focus on a collegiate football career.

Mitchell J. Unrein ‏ @MitchellJUnrein

Great pick right there! Gets to learn from the best QB in the league.#Manning #NFLDraft2012

byron chamberlain ‏ @bc_chamberlain

I like the pick #Broncos Brock Osweiler! I hate Mel Kiper. always negative!!!

Vic Lombardi ‏ @VicLombardi

No comment. Just cuz a guy is as tall as Kostas Koufos doesn't make him a good QB. Hope he proves me wrong. Elways does know more about QBs

Robert Ayers Jr ‏ @1_900_ayersjr Bronco Nation welcome the "Giant Gunslinger" from the desert@BrockOsweiler Glad to have ya big guy.. Rick Reilly ‏ @ReillyRick

New Bronco Brock Osweiler and his clipboard are about to have a very long affair. Better pick: LeMichael James.

Broncos Select: Ronnie Hillman

The Broncos traded their 87th pick and a fourth rounder to move up to the 67th overall pick (4th pick in 3rd round). With the pick the Broncos selected running back Ronnie Hillman, SDSU.

Hillman is only 5'8", 200 lbs but has great vision to go with his quickness and speed.

Twitter reaction:

Denver Broncos ‏ @Denver_Broncos

The #Broncos have traded up into the 67th overall spot and selected SDSU RB Ronnie Hillman.

Denver Broncos ‏ @Denver_Broncos

Hillman ranks 14th among active NCAA FBC players with 573 career carries. His 3,243 yds are the 3rd-highest in SDSU history.

Mike Klis ‏ @MikeKlis

Ronnie Hillman will be change-of-pace back to Willis McGahee. But Hillman doesn't block enough to replace Knowshon as 3rd-down back

Tom Krasovic ‏ @tomkrasovic

Hillman isn't a blocker, hands a little sketchy. If he shores up those areas, #Broncos, Manning will love him

Mike Klis ‏ @MikeKlis RB Ronnie Hillman was coached by Snoop Dog in Pop Warner Robert Ayers Jr ‏ @1_900_ayersjr Bronco Nation welcome Ronnie Hillman.. Glad to have ya
John Elway ‏ @johnelway

Ronnie Hillman from SDSU - very explosive RB who has the ability to score every time he touches the ball. Happy he's a Bronco.

Von Miller ‏ @MillerLite40

I'm loving what were doing in the draft!!! Brock Osweiler was a beast at ASU!!!!!!!

Mitchell J. Unrein ‏ @MitchellJUnrein

Can never go wrong with a MWC player! Congrats to Ronnie Hillman! #NFLDraft2012

Robert Ayers Jr ‏ @1_900_ayersjr

I just watched Hillmans combine footage and looked up his stats onhttp://nfl.com EXPLOSIVE!! And has great hands.. #greatpick

Pending any trades, the Broncos are done for the night and their next pick is number 101 overall, 6th in the 4th round.
