Denver Broncos power rankings from around the web. Already in the top half of nearly all rankings, Sunday’s 31-19 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers sees the Broncos jump into most rankings’ Top 10 — or higher. (Previous week’s ranking in parenthesis).

ESPN: 9th (13)
Was Peyton Manning really wearing a Broncos jersey? Looked like he could’ve been rocking the Colts’ horseshoe. Impressive.

SI/Peter King: 5th (N/A)
It’s not a dream. Peyton Manning really was that good, 129.2-rating good, in his first real game in 20 months. Really agree with Tony Dungy: The Broncos waited too long to use the no-huddle. Peyton Manning should live in the no-huddle.

SI/Don Banks: 8th (11)
I’m feeling quite a bit better about picking John Fox’s team to win the AFC West again after Week 1. The Denver Peytons looked like a pretty solid team top to bottom, while the Chiefs and Raiders have obvious weaknesses and the Chargers won largely due to Oakland’s long-snapping woes. I wonder if Tim Tebow wakes up some days and wonders if the whole 2011 late-season magic carpet ride was just a dream? The city of Denver clearly has a new crush.

FOX: 11th (16)
Peyton Manning is back, and back in a big way. He was accurate. He threw with zip. He executed the no-huddle to perfection in the second half. He will need to play that well, or better, next week against the Falcons to keep up with their high-octane offense. But there is no reason to believe that he can’t.

CBS: 9th (10)
Peyton Manning is the same Peyton Manning. This is a good team. Now comes a tough test: at Atlanta.

NFL.com: 8th (10)
Lost in the shuffle of the Manning hysteria was the outstanding play of the Denver secondary. Where was that last January in New England? Well, Tracy Porter wasn’t on the team then, and boy did he make his presence felt, with several nice plays not found on the stat sheet and a pick-six that was the biggest line item on that same stat sheet. If Denver can keep edge rushers Elvis Dumervil and Von Miller can stay healthy, this team could go far.

NFL.com Power Poll: 5th (13)

Walter Football: 10th (14)
Close call between the Broncos and Lions for the No. 10 spot, but Denver’s victory was much more impressive than Detroit’s.

National Football Post: 8th (14)
Maybe we had the Broncos ranked to low to start the season, but after watching Manning run that offense in Denver it was easy to bump them up.

USA Today Covers: 13th (12)
Power Ratings compute offensive and defensive statistics into one number for each team, while accounting for factors like recent performances and strength of schedule.

Oh, and NFL.com listed the Jets as the “Tebows” again… that’s fair.

Peyton Manning already has his own corn field maze in Colorado

Yeesh, that didn’t take long.  Barely one game into his tenure as starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos and already Peyton Manning has his own corn field maze, located just outside Greeley, Colorado.  He was a god in Indianapolis and I don’t remember any farmer’s doing this for him during his time with the Colts.  Could be that there aren’t many corn fields in the...

Atlanta's Mike Nolan still trying to solve Manning

As a defensive coordinator and head coach, Mike Nolan has just one victory in seven tries against quarterback Peyton Manning. Nolan, in his first season as coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons, hopes to change his luck when Manning and the Denver Broncos visit the Georgia Dome on Monday night. Manning returned from a 20-month layoff following neck surgery to lead the Broncos to four...

Peyton Manning corn maze is something you could get lost in (Picture)

Yesterday on Outside the Boxscore, we featured a post detailing a Cincinnati Reds-themed corn maze and we have enough classic one to show you. One Colorado farm has decided to do their own version of a Peyton Manning corn maze to honor the new starting quarterback of the Denver Broncos. The work was done by Fritzler Farm in LaSalle and is set to open for the public on September...

Falcons prepare for Peyton Manning challenge

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. Coming off a 19-for-26 performance for 253 passing yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions in an impressive 31-19 victory over Pittsburgh, Denver quarterback Peyton Manning showed the football world last Sunday that while he might have been playing his first game in two seasons, he is no less dangerous a player. On Monday night when he visits the Georgia...

Denver Broncos News Vote here for Peyton Manning as the GMC Never Say Never Moment for Week 1. [NFL.com] The Denver Broncos have added a sixth center to their roster yesterday by signing Dan Koppen. I didn’t realize the position was so valued, then again, things must be pretty bad for the Broncos to be this desperate. [BroncoTalk.net] Peyton Manning made history Sunday night by...

Denver Broncos: Peyton Manning No. 18 Broncos Jersey No. 1 in NFL Jersey Sales Week 1

Peyton Manning led the Denver Broncos to a week 1 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the season opener of NFL Sunday Night Football. While No. 18 is wearing a new jersey in Denver, he was once again No. 1 in NFL jersey sales after week 1. Sitting out a full season did not hurt Manning on the field, and it did not hurt his popularity at all either. In fact, not only did Manning...

Peyton Manning: The Colts' Trash Turns Into Broncos' Treasure

We all wondered, so did Broncos President John Elway, head coach John Fox and his dad, Archie Manning. Is it gone? Did he lose the magic? For thirteen years, Peyton Manning spoiled us. As quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts, he helped create a dynasty. In those thirteen years, the Colts made the playoffs eleven times. They won their division eight times , made it to the AFC championship...

Denver Broncos at Atlanta Falcons: Week 2 NFL Pick

Denver Broncos (1-0) at Atlanta Falcons (1-0) If it wasn’t for Green Bay/Chicago, this would be the game of the week. Actually, scratch that, Green Bay/Chicago was an incredibly ugly game that should have been the game of the week, but wasn’t because teams only had 3 days to prepare and played much worse than they normally do. I hate this new one game on Thursday every week thing...
