The Broncos needed a 3rd cornerback for next season after cutting Andre Goodman. Goodman was owed 4.62 million in 2012 and at age 34 in August, he was an easy cut. Florence is getting up there in age as well, turning 32 in December, but at 4.5 million over 2 years, he’s a better value. Neither cornerback is particularly good. Andre Goodman ranked 75th on ProFootballFocus last year and Florence ranked 100th.Last season, he gave up 44 completions on 73 attempts (60.3%), 714 yards (9.8 YPA), 6 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions. However, he was probably the best cornerback left on the market. He’ll provide competition for young Chris Harris at nickel back with Champ Bailey and Tracy Porter on the outside. He should have a better season this year now that he’s no longer a starter and covering starters and now that he has a better pass rush in front of him (the Bills managed just 28 sacks last year). This was a solid value deal.Grade: B-
