And I just put him in one more. Drats. Von, Von, Von. Oh Von, as much of a valuable player you are on the field, you are proving to be quite the headache off of the field. News was released Wednesday that Von Miller had been stopped last week and cited for driving on suspended license and speeding. This sure does sound like deja-vu. Maybe because in August, Von Miller was arrested for a failure to appear on another charge of driving without license, failure to carry proof of insurance, and careless driving. Though Miller didn’t go to jail this time around, this is his second charge before he has even taken care of the first one. According to yardbarker.com, if Miller has anymore run-ins with the law while serving his suspension the NFL could review the case and add more games to the suspension. I never understood athletes getting in trouble with law. I know we are all human, and it happens, but when you are getting paid millions of dollars a year, how hard is it to go to court or to get a drivers’ license? Even us common-folk can complete those tasks on a lunch break, depending on the line at the DMV, that is. “Ovbiously we’re not happy about it. Everybody here has an individual responsibility, not only to themselves, but to this organization, to this football team, so it’s something we’re not pleased about. We’ll leave it at that,” Head Coach John Fox said of Miller’s violations. In other news, not only did the Denver Broncos sign Manny Ramirez to a two-year contract extension, but the week has come. Family Feud, Manning style. Battle royal! Though we all got an earful already this year about another brother rivalry in the “Har-bowl” or whatever other derivative we heard about the Harbaugh’s coaching against each other in the Super Bowl. As Broncos’ fans, I think we can all agree this one is a little more exciting. The Manning Brothers square up this Sunday (Photo credit: Brian Ach/AP) The game on Sunday in MetLife Stadium will be the third time the brothers have come face-to-face in a game, once in 2006, and once in 2010, but this will be the first time Peyton steps out against Eli in a Broncos jersey. Peyton is 2-0 against Eli. “I think for (Peyton), it doesn’t matter if it’s Week 2, if it’s the Super Bowl, if it’s his brother, if it’s not his brother – every game is the biggest game,” wide receiver Eric Decker said of his quarterback. “And he gets everyone to feel that way, as well.”
