Von Miller in more deep waterVon Miller, is in the news once again. With his appeal on his suspension coming up on Thursday, he seemed to find himself in more trouble over the weekend. Miller was arrested in a gun club on Sunday for a failure to appear in court arrest warrant issued back in January. Back in October, Miller was charged with careless driving, driving without a license, and having no proof of insurance. “”We have been aware of the matter involving Von Miller’s failure to appear in court for traffic violations. It was reported to the league earlier this week and is being handled through the legal system,” the Denver Broncos said in a statement. Because Miller was booked and released on Sunday, he didn’t miss any practice time. In terms of his appeal, NFLPA assistant executive director George Atallah has said that Miller’s suspension is not a result of a violation of the league’s PED policy, according to CBS Sports. In other news, since at this moment that’s all I have on Von Miller, it was a sad day for us here in Missoula, Montana as the Miami Dolphins terminated the contract of former Montana Grizzly, kicker Dan Carpenter. We only have a handful of players from our small mountain town in the NFL, including Marc Mariani with the Tennessee Titans, and Kroy Biermann, made famous through a reality show, with the Atlanta Falcons. There are a few others, though none as well known as those boys. Though I am not worried, Carpenter has been a great kicker with the Dolphins, and played in the Pro Bowl in 2009, I am sure a team in need will pick him up. I also saw a post today about Tom Brady leaving practice early due to a knee injury. Though I wish injury on no player, the rivalry between Manning and Brady fuels me enough to talk smack to my friends who went to the dark side by becoming a Patriot’s fan.
