Found August 19, 2013 on Football Nation:
During Saturday's exhibition game the Denver Broncos faced the Seattle Seahawks at Century Link Field.  With the help of big plays on the side of the Seahawks, the Broncos didn't stand a chance.  Adding insult to injury, Broncos cornerback, Champ Bailey and wide receiver, Wes Welker both suffered foot sprains.  No team wants to see a teammate injured, let a lone in a preseason game that carries no weight for the remainder of the season.  A player who is sure to impact his team in his absence is offensive linebacker, Von Miller who faces a six-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.A few other starters were also injured in the first half as well. Guard Louis Vasquez, left the game with a knee injury and linebacker, Stewart Bradley departed with an injury to his wrist.  The scariest of the night came when defensive end, Derek Wolfe, suffered a helmet-to-helmet hit affecting his spine.  Coach John Fox has reported that after Wolfe was taken to a Seat...

Scary moment in Denver Broncos’ preseason loss

I was prepared for this weeks preseason game. I found a friend who had the NFL Channel, grabbed a bag of Tim’s Jalapeno Chips, and a 6-pack. Then, disaster happened. No, I am not referring to the devastating loss that ensued, though that is almost as terrible. We started watching the game, flipped the channel during commercial, and when we flipped back, it said that game wasn...

Broncos WR Wes Welker, CB Champ Bailey Injured

A lot of injuries to key players in one preseason game.  May not see...

Danny Amendola’s Age, Explosiveness Could Make Him Better Fit With Patriots Than Wes Welker (Video)

With the departure of Wes Welker, Tom Brady was in need of a go-to receiver and it looks like he has found that in Danny Amendola. The two have shown great chemistry in the two preseason games, and as much as people want to compare the two receivers, it may be time to move on to the new era of Patriots football. Amendola is not Welker, but WEEI’s Mike Salk argues that he may be...

2013 New England Patriots Preview

It’s safe to say that when the New England Patriots made the curious decision to let Wes Welker sign with AFC rival Denver Broncos for only slightly more money than what they had been offering, they were confident that the weapons Tom Brady still had around him would be more than enough to make the passing attack one of the best in the NFL yet again. Then they learned Gronk had...
