Do the Denver Broncos have a legitimate beef with the officiating yesterday? Perhaps, although it’s hard to argue when safety Renaldo Hill unmistakably grabbed the facemask of Santonio Holmes.
But the intention of the Jets looks rather clear–heave it down field on 4th down and hope for a pass interference call. Something many teams may decide to do in light of yesterday’s play.
Broncos fans certainly weren’t happy with the call. Two Denver sports radio guys even tried to recreate the moment after the game. One even goes as far as saying “it was the most egregious penalty in the history of football”.
Well, I can tell you without much doubt that I find your reenactment much more egregious fellas. The idea was there, but definitely lacked execution.
