Former NFL running back Derrick Ward has decided to move on from football after a successful nine-year career. He spent five seasons with the Giants, one with the Buccaneers and two with the Texans.

To all my fans just wanted to let u know its been a great ride the last 9yrs but I’m calling it a career. I thank u all for believing in me!

Ward finishes his career with 2,628 yards, and 12 touchdowns. He had one 1,000 yard season, which was with the Giants back in 2008.
