When Chip Kelly arrived in Philadelphia, the expectations were his revolutionary college offense would free up receiver DeSean Jackson to do big things.
Kelly has since toned down the expectations of seeing Oregon east in the NFL, but a multi faceted attack with many moving pieces are to be expected. In that case, Jackson looks to have a huge season; the talent level is high on the Eagles with explosive running back LeSean McCoy and fellow receiver Jeremy Maclin.
Jackson will get plenty of opportunities to stretch the defense, but he’ll also be moved around to create mismatches. Jackson is expecting a return to the top of the list in dangerous game breaking receivers.
"Really moving me around and keeping defenses off guard," Jackson said, via the Philadelphia Inquirer. "I think a lot of times in the past couple of years; teams were able to key in on me and things like that.
Moving me around the offense and having the defense off guard is something we're going to try to do."
"With Chip coming in here with the style of play of his offense, I think it's really going to help me out a lot because I'm going to be able to get certain looks, get the ball in my hands, do different things that we weren't doing the past five years. It's going to be an exciting time for me," Jackson said.
