The Atlanta Falcons were expecting to get a lot more pressure on opposing quarterbacks after signing defensive Ray Edwards just before training camp.
But the pairing Edwards and John Abraham hasn't made much of an impact.
The Falcons are tied for 24th in the NFL with just 25 sacks. Only six teams have fewer, and league-leading Baltimore has 45 sacks - nearly twice as many as Atlanta.
Despite adding Edwards, the Falcons are on about the same pace as last season, when they ranked 20th in the league with 31 sacks. Abraham's production is way down. The 33-year-old end had two sacks in the season opener, but has only five for the year. Edwards had a sack in last week's win at Carolina, but that gives him just three overall.
