A day off for an NFL team 72 hours before kickoff is rare, especially when that team has lost three games in a row. But Miami Dolphins coach Joe Philbin is giving his players Thanksgiving off. The team will practice daily through Wednesday, then reconvene Friday to finish preparations for Sunday's game against Seattle. Philbin says the unusual break for the holiday is possible because the Dolphins haven't played since Thursday. Philbin says family is very important to him, and ''It should be important to our players.''

Reggie Bush's days might be numbered in Miami

Not too long ago the Miami Dolphins were faced with the prospects of signing their running back and former 2005 first round pick, Ronnie Brown.  Forced to fill a void that was inevitable with the lack of productivity in Brown’s final season, the Dolphins got overly aggressive at the start of the offseason after the lockout with a trade for Reggie Bush.  A name...

What’s wrong with the Miami Dolphins?

The Miami Dolphins are currently riding a 3 game losing streak that has made their hopes of the playoffs as likely as me finally getting that date with Mila Kunis.  It’s not impossible, but it’s not going to happy for our Dolphins.  The Dolphins season got off to a rocky 1-3 start and then the team rebounded to win 3 straight games to improve to 4-3.  Unfortunately, they couldn’t...

Pitiful Picks: Dolphins don’t play, but the picks continue

The Miami Dolphins will be doing exactly what a lot of Dolphins fans will be doing on Sunday…..watching other teams play football.  The Dolphins are still doing their soul searching, following their 19-14 loss to the Bills on Thursday night. The Dolphins preparations for the Seahawks will begin tomorrow and we’ll have a lot on that upcoming matchup later this week. For today...

Bold Prediction: The Dolphins Will Trade Reggie Bush By Season End

As a starting running back in the National Football League, Miami Dolphins' running back Reggie Bush has had a horrible 2012 campaign. Bush has only crossed the 100 yard mark in rushing once this season, and that was against the lowly Raiders' defense. Bush has only managed 82 rushing yards in the last three games, while also coughing up a fumble which in turn resulted in...

Dolphins Division: Dolphins slide continues, Pats off and running

The Miami Dolphins were once 4-3, but that was a long time ago my friends.  The Dolphins currently sit at 4-6 and are now 3 games behind the Patriots in the AFC East.  The rest of the division isn’t doing much better, since the Bills and Jets are tied with the Dolphins for 2nd (and last) place.  Since all 4 teams were tied at 3-3, the Pats have gone 4-0, with the rest of the...

Dolphins want to get ground game going

The Miami Dolphins' offense has stalled, and the long list of reasons includes too many turnovers, not enough big plays and too many rookie moments by quarterback Ryan Tannehill. So what bugs offensive coordinator Mike Sherman the most? None of the above. ''Aw, just the run game,'' Sherman said Monday. ''Everything jells around the run game. If you can...
