PLAYERS: Davone Bess
TEAMS: Miami Dolphins

Davone Bess has been a reliable wide receiver for the Dolphins ever since he joined the team as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2008. He literally had always been there for them before Sunday when he missed the first game of his NFL career because of a back problem. It was an experience Bess didn't enjoy and clearly doesn't want to repeat.

Reshad Jones: A potential pro-bowler in 2012

As the Miami Dolphins season winds down without a winning record, one thing clearly stands out: Reshad Jones is bringing his lunch pail and getting the job done. Dolphins Gameplan: Protect the football and RUN!

The Miami Dolphins owe the Buffalo Bills one, after losing 19-14 on Thursday Night Football, earlier this season.  The Dolphins lost that game, in large part, because they turned the football over 3 times and didn’t create any turnovers.  The Dolphins were pushed around by the Bills in that Thursday night loss and were held to just 60 rushing yards in that game.  If the Dolphins...

Dolphins remain in playoff contention - barely

It might be easier for the Miami Dolphins to make the playoffs than to explain how it could happen. Both tasks are daunting. With two games left in the regular season, seven teams have a better record than Miami (6-8) in the AFC race for six playoff spots. The Dolphins have a 2.3-percent chance of earning a postseason berth, according to the web site MakeNFLPlayoffs.com. Hey,...

More playoffs, more pay says Karlos Dansby

DAVIE, Fla. Miami Dolphins linebacker Karlos Dansby is all for the NFL expanding the playoffs. That is, if it shows up in his check. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said last week the 32-team league will consider increasing the field from 12 teams to 14 or 16. If such a scenario were in place this season, the Dolphins, who are 6-8 and still eligible under the current format, obviously...
