The Detroit Lions came back once again in the fourth quarter to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon. Trailing by 10 points on two different occasions in the final quarter, the Lions roared back to tie the game on a Jason Hanson field goal with three seconds to play. Hanson then kicked the game-winning field goal in overtime to give the Lions the improbable win. After Matthew Stafford’s one-yard touchdown run cut Philadelphia’s lead to 16-13, Eagles quarterback Michael Vick found receiver Jeremy Maclin for a 70-yard touchdown to give the Eagles a 23-13 lead.Stafford once again led Detroit on a touchdown drive finding receiver Nate Burleson for a 17-yard touchdown. As a result of kicking the game-tying and game-winning field goals, Hanson is this game's hero. For Philadelphia it was another turnover-happy game for Vick. He threw two more interceptions and lost a fumble. The fumble can be credited to miscommunication with his center as the ball was snapped before Vick was ready for it.Regardless, the Eagles have to find a way to prevent so many turnovers. They lead the league with 17 turnovers and Vick has 11 of them. The loss drops Philadelphia’s record to 3-3 for the season.Defensively, the Eagles were not able to hold two double-digit leads in the fourth quarter. It is becoming a problem for them to close out games and the turnovers by the offense do not help.Vick has to find a way to protect the ball or he will find himself sitting sooner rather than later. For his part in the loss, Vick gets the game’s zero honor.
