For the Detroit Lions, in a need of a game to get right, and the Tennessee Titans, in need of a strong showing before they lose control of their season, Sunday’s game has a lot of importance. The Lions do not want to be 1-2, and the Titans definitely do not want to be 0-3. However, while this looks like a game the Lions can dominate they cannot afford to play down to their competition like they did in week one against the St. Louis Rams. Great NFL teams roll over teams like the Titans, the Lions are not that yet but they need to come out swinging and it would be nice to see a complete 60 minute performance out of QB Matthew Stafford. The Lions come into week three scoring 23 point per game on average. They have averaged 362.5 yards per game. Their defense has allowed 25 points per game, while giving up 299.5 yards. The Titans are almost polar opposites. They are averaging just 11.5 points per game and are allowing 36. Their offense averages 48 yards, while allowing their opponents t...

Matthew Stafford Slated For MRI Monday

Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford (leg) will have an MRI on his right leg on Monday to evaluate his pulled leg muscle. Miscommunication leads to Lions loss in overtime

You want crazy? The Detroit Lions and Tennessee Titans take the cake this week. According to Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz , the last play which left the Lions unable to get one yard on fourth down was a miscommunication between the center and the quarterback. They were supposed to try and draw them offside and then kick a field goal to tie the game. Instead, the Lions...

Detroit Lions vs. Tennessee Titans: Three Bold Predictions

This week, the Detroit Lions head to Nashville to take on the 0-2 Titans. Commercial Almost Cuts Off Lions' Dramatic Hail Mary

In one of the wildest NFL games that I could remember, the Lions were down seven with seven seconds to go against the Tennessee Titans. Shaun Hill, in relief of Matthew Stafford, threw up a hail mary when this happened. Viewers got to see the dramatic touchdown by a split second. TV stations really need to stop cutting away from games early for a commercial. Luckily, viewers...

Angry Lions fan is angry.

It doesn’t matter that the Lions are headed in the right direction.  After decades of irrelevancy, opposing teams aren’t getting a second bye week with the Lions on their schedule.  Calvin Johnson is the most dangerous weapon in the NFL and the guy throwing him the football is one of four in the history of the sport to throw for 5,000 yards in a season. But even a cannon for...

Reviewing the Lions’ 44-41 loss to the Titans

Where to start? What to say? I’m speechless. I’m going to try my best on explaining what went right and what went wrong in this game. So let’s start with the quarterbacks. Quarterback: Matthew Stafford had a game that we all like to see. He was 33 for 42 with 278 yards and a touchdown. Certainly we’d like to see a couple more touchdowns but the way he’s played the first...

Calvin Johnson Finally Reaches Pay Dirt in Week 3

Lions receiver Calvin Johnson finally got in the end zone in Week 3, but the throw didn't come from Matthew Stafford, it came from Shaun Hill. Hill replaced Stafford after the latter exited with a leg injury.Fantasy Spin:Johnson was a beast as expected, catching 10 balls for 164 yards and a touchdown. Megatron hasn't been hurt by Stafford's fantasy struggles at all this...

Week 3 Fantasy Football Preview: Lions vs. Titans

The Lions offense has struggled through the first two weeks to get off to a hot start. They seem to not have urgency to score until they are down in the fourth quarter. The Titans offense is just bad through all four quarters. They are dead last in rushing yards per game and 22nd in the league for passing yards. The offensive line has been called out by their "star" running...
