This game can only be described as crazy.

Tennessee gave away an 11 point half-time lead, scored five touchdowns of 60 plus yards, scored 21 points straight to go back up, and gave up a 14 point lead in the final 18 seconds of the game.

Detroit was able to survive long scoring droughts, Matthew Stafford getting injured in the final two minutes of the game, and having the Titans score a field goal in overtime to still have a chance to win with the last play of the game.

There were heroes and zeros all over Ford Field, but two managed to stand out.

Hero: Shaun Hill was able to come off the bench with 1:16 left in the game after Stafford threw a pick-six and hurt himself trying to make a tackle.

The Lions were down 14 and had no business trying to win the game, much less having a shot at it. Hill was able to make the most finding Calvin Johnson with 18 seconds left. Then, after the Lions were able to get the onside kick, he heaved a 46 yard pass that found Titus Young in the end zone to send it to overtime.

In overtime he got Detroit all the way to the one yard line after the Titans were only able to score a field goal on their opening OT drive.

Zero: Then came the decision. Jim Schwartz made the call to go for it on the one. Instead of giving the ball to Mikel Leshoure, who had 100 yards on 26 carries and has made a living off of punching it in on short runs in Illinois, Schwartz opted to go for the quarterback keeper.

Tennessee was able to stop Hill from getting in for the score and before the replacement officials (the true zeros of the league) were able to review, both teams had already shaken hands and begun to go to the locker room.

Schwartz made his gutsy calls late in the game but at that point he had nothing to lose. With the game on the line, he made a call that didn't work out but going for the miracle play trifecta is the hardest thing to do in the NFL and Jim should have known that. Now, his Lions fall to 1-2 in that crazy NFC North.
