However, with corners Bill Bentley and Jacob Lacey not practicing so far this week, it has prompted Detroit to resign veteran corner Alphonso Smith.Smith will begin his second stint with Detroit after being cut before the start of this season.Defensive tackle Corey Williams returned to practice today after missing three weeks with a knee injury.
