Devin Culp Signs Rookie Deal With Bucs
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

For the second time today, the Bucs have signed one of their own to a four-year contract.

Following the breaking news that the team had agreed to terms with super-safety Antoine Winfield Jr. on a market-setting deal the team has also announced they have signed rookie tight end Devin Culp to a four-year rookie contract.

Tampa Bay selected Culp in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of the University of Washington. Culp brings a speedy, athletic body to a tight end room that had plenty of bigger-bodied short area options. He isn’t guaranteed a roster spot, and it will likely depend on his ability to contribute on special teams. He will most likely battle Payne Durham and Ko Kieft for a spot on the active roster.

Devin Culp Is Third Bucs Draft Pick To Sign

The signing of Culp will come with an estimated $86,188 signing bonus and a $795,000 salary for 2024. The total value of the contract should be just north of $4.1 million. His signing will push another player down off the top-51 cutoff and the Bucs only needed an extra $21,547 in salary cap space to bring him on.

Culp finished his collegiate career with 66 catches, 711 yards and four touchdowns over 42 games across four seasons at Washington. He showed that he could be a contributor as a move tight end who can block on the move.

Tampa Bay has now signed three of its draft picks with Culp joining fourth-round pick Bucky Irving and sixth-round pick Elijah Klein who signed last week. With Culp in the fold the team still needs to sign offensive lineman Graham Barton, outside linebacker Chris Braswell, wide receiver Jalen McMillan and safety Tykee Smith.
