Fox Sports Wisconsin:
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Packers offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith has signed his one-year restricted free-agent tender.
Dietrich-Smith was given the lowest qualifying offer, which carries a value of 1.323 million. Though Green Bay had a right to match any offer to Dietrich-Smith, there would have been no compensation associated with it if another team had successfully signed him away from the Packers. However, restricted free agents rarely change teams.
Dietrich-Smith, 26, was inserted as Green Bay's starting center late last season after veteran Jeff Saturday continued to struggle. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has publicly supported Dietrich-Smith as the Packers' permanent starting center moving forward.
Green Bay is still waiting on cornerback Sam Shields to sign his restricted tender. Shields was given a second-round tender, which means he'd receive a one-year deal for 2.023 million.

The Packers have one of the best QBs in the league. They need to give him a running game and better defense if they want to win another Super Bowl. At this point most teams have made their big moves in free agency. The players remaining are either veterans at the end of their career or role players. Teams are working draft prospects in pro days and nailing down their draft...
Aaron Rodgers is reportedly close to a new deal with the Packers and if it ends up being a record setting contract, he’s worth it.
Rodgers, 29, has been the starting quarterback in Green Bay for five seasons and has already won an MVP award, a Super Bowl, and a Super Bowl MVP.
A.J. Hawk, Rodgers’ teammate, talked about his QB recently and had a couple interesting things to say...
Aaron Rodgers impending contract extension is currently the one known unknown in the NFL. Rodgers will get his deal, but no one knows when.
Packers linebacker A.J. Hawk is a fan of his quarterback, and during an interview with NFL AM, said that Rodgers “deserves whatever he gets in his new deal, and it will be a billion dollars.”
Let’s be honest, all of us minions have nothing...
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Three years ago, Desmond Bishop had an idea for a movie. Still early in his NFL career, the Green Bay Packers' linebacker had no training or writing experience, but Bishop knew this was a story he wanted to tell.
That story idea has now become a legitimate movie script that is currently in the hands of some people at Lions Gate -- the studio that produced ...

Who will the Packers target this year in the NFL Draft? (AP)
With news that the Packers are going to lock up Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews, what does the future hold for the rest of the team? What direction will they go in during the draft? And the age old question that every Green Bay Packers fan wants to know, where does Jermichael Finley fit into their plans?

J.J. Wilcox might be the best player you haven't heard of in this draft. He played defense for just one season at Georgia Southern but one scout has him ranked No. 2 among this year's safeties. He could be a target for the Packers, who have failed to replace Nick Collins.
