Distraught Eagles Fans Start Petition to Fire Andy Reid

I tell ya - the internet these days. I bet guys like Tom Landry, Vince Lombardi, and Don Shula never had these problems. Of course, they also never had problems winning championships. But for Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid, things are looking pretty grim as far as the fans are concerned. As of this week, they're officially calling for his head - starting an online petition pleading with owner Jeffrey Lurie to fire Andy Reid. Follow the link to get the skinny on the petition, including where Eagles fans can go to sign it. In the meantime - what do you think of this fan initiative?

  • About 25 teams in the NFL wish they had Andy Reid's success in his tenure with the Eagles. Eagles are 2-3 in football's toughest division. Things good be a whole lot worse. It's not the end of the world.

  • I agree. Theres no sense in talking to some of these people. Dont waste your time man. The team is 2-3 and they act like the world is coming to an end. Its not even that bad of a record. There are teams in worse shape right now that will still make the playoffs. This just shows your true colors when you give up on a guy who made your team into a contender at one time. This doesn't go for just philly fans either. There were plenty of Giants fans last year that wanted Eli and Coughlin out of town. I cant stand peope lke that.

  • Bool, you are wasting your time man, I've been told by one particular Eagles fan that my team sucks, and has'nt beaten anyone yet. Everyone is someone in the NFL if you take them lightly. And this person is also constantly calling people names and hating all the time, it is truly pathetic. The games will speak for themselves and that's all I want to do, got no time for all the whining. I once, blocked this someone in error, was new to the site and was giving a thumbs down to a foolish comment. Did'nt know that blocks someone, and now I do. I went in and lifted that block when I realized what I had done, I'm not afraid of anything someone has to say. It's just that certain ones don't want to hear it unless you kiss their butt.

  • I think this should read "Stupid Eagles Fans Start Petition to Fire Andy Reid". Same people that wanted McNabb out and Kolb in. Every time anything goes wrong, they call for someone's head.   • Well, what's wrong is the play calling. Who's to blame? Andy. It doesn't matter if he is or is not the one making the calls, it's up to him to make sure better calls are getting in. Hence HEAD coach. So I think the theory is to fix it he must go!
