DJ Chark Wins Tom Berry Good Guy Award
USA TODAY Sports

Carolina Panthers wide receiver DJ Chark was named the recipient of the annual Tom Berry Good Guy Award for his ongoing cooperation with the local media this season. This award is given to the player who made the media's job easy and helps provide good conversations throughout the season. This award was named after Tom Berry, a Panthers journalist who covered the team for years before he sadly passed away in 2009.

"I wasn't expecting this. I appreciate it. Like you said, the year that we've had it wasn't what we imagined. But in this game you make a lot of relationships with people and I try to be personable with everyone that I meet and try to be genuine with my answers when I speak to people. So it feels great to know that it didn't go overlooked. I appreciate you guys for this. I know you have a tough job having to report on the football world while being honest, but also trying to have our backs and help us write out stories. This is huge for me. I appreciate you all and I thank you all."
