TEAMS:
Philadelphia Eagles
ESPN correspondent Chris Mortensen reported Sunday the Indianapolis Colts traded with the Philadelphia Eagles for defensive back Domonique "D.J." Johnson.
In return, the Colts gave defensive tackle Ollie Ogbu to the Eagles.
Johnson, 26, is a third-year veteran and has already been with six other teams in his short NFL career. Signed as an undrafted free agent by the Denver Broncos in 2009, he spent 2009-10 as a member of the New York Giants, seeing action in 10 games. In 2011, he spent time on the practice squads of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Washington Redskins and the Eagles.
He recorded 10 total tackles in his 10 games with the Giants.
Ogbu, 25, was an undrafted free agent signing by the Colts on July 29, 2011. He spent 2011 on the team's practice squad.

Philadelphia Eagles Backups with the Most to Prove During Training Camp
Andy Lyons / Getty Images
While the majority of the players at Philadelphia Eagles training camp won’t be competing for starting positions, there is still much to be decided.
Andy Reid and staff will use training camp as a time to identify valuable reserves and backups who will earn their way onto the roster, and then, ultimately the field.
While there are plenty of established...
Eagles' Mike Patterson ruled out for training camp
The Philadelphia Eagles have ruled out defensive tackle Mike Patterson for their entire training camp and possibly more because the incision where he had brain surgery in January hasn't fully healed.

Mike Vick Stands By His “Dynasty” Talk, Andy Reid Backs Him
According to a few of my friends the Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl Contenders… apparently Mike Vick and Andy Reid not only thinks that but they are “building a dynasty”. Since opening that statement, Vick was asked to clarify those statements even further.
“That’s just me speaking in confidence, and if you ask my teammates, they’d tell you the same thing,...
Mike Patterson's Recovery Opens Door for Fletcher Cox
As the twelfth pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox is being counted on to contribute to the Philadelphia Eagles’ ‘wide nine’ defense fairly early in his career.
With the news today coming out of training camp concerning Mike Patterson, incumbent starter at tackle, Cox’s contributions may need to come earlier.
Patterson, the first round pick...
Don’t Sleep On: Jeremy Maclin
Forget DeSean T...
2011 Recap: Maclin had a good, yet unspectacular season that was plagued by injuries and inconsistent QB play. Week 1 he had one catch. Week 2 he went for 13/171/2. It was that kind of season for the Eagles WR. He finished as the 25th ranked WR, which was still better than his running mate D-Jax, but it was very disappointing.

Eagles DT Mike Patterson Out Indefinitely After AVM Surgery
Eagles DT Mike Patterson put a scare in everyone last training camp when he collapsed with convulsions on the field at Lehigh. It was then discovered that he had what is called an "AVM" on his brain. Doctors decided that it was safe for him to play the season, but he would need surgery to correct the AVM in the offseason. Patterson had the surgery and was expected to be...
Michael Vick says the Giants are the team to beat

Even though Michael Vick recently stated that the Philadelphia Eagles have a chance to become a dynasty, he said that the New York Giants are the team to beat this season in an interview with SI.com.
“I think any team that wins the Super Bowl is gonna be the team to beat,” Vick said. “They’re champions throughout until somebody else claims the throne.”
I agree...
Eagles work out Maynard
According to Tim McManus of 97.5 the Fanatic, the Philadelphia Eagles are giving punter Brad Maynard a workout. Yes, the Eagles do have second year punter Chas Henry but after the season he had it’s not a bad idea to make him earn his spot.

Former Broncos RB Travis Henry Aiming For Comeback
Travis Henry is now hoping to do what Michael Vick and Plaxico Burress have done before him - return to professional football after a stay in prison. According to Adam Caplan, Henry, who served a three-year prison sentence for cocaine trafficking, wants to return to the NFL. But Henry turns 34 in October and, of course, has not played football since 2007. Not only are age and the...
