According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, the Broncos are expected to attempt to  trade linebacker D.J. Williams once the new league year begins on March 12th.  If they’re unable to trade him, they’re expected to release him. Don’t be surprised if D.J. Williams is a starting linebacker in 2013. It’s easy to see him starting for Mike Shanahan’s Washington Redskins or Gary Kubiak’s Houston Texans. Would Williams return to his Bay Area roots and play for Dennis Allen and the Oakland Raiders? Or maybe he will wind up playing for Mike Nolan with the Atlanta Falcons or Wink Martindale with the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens. Where Williams has little chance of starting at linebacker in 2013 is in Denver. The Broncos are expected to part ways with Williams, who is tied with cornerback Champ Bailey for longest-running service time with the team. When the NFL season officially opens for business March 12, the Broncos are expected to place Williams on the trading block. It won’t be easy trading a player who is scheduled to make $6 million in 2013, is on the wrong side of age 30 and is coming off a double suspension that crippled his production in 2012. After some serious off-the field issues the Broncos don’t have a reason to keep him around any longer.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = 'http://widget.crowdignite.com/widgets/27484?_ci_wid=_CI_widget_'+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })();
