Mckinnie
Five years ago, the additions of left tackle Bryant McKinnie and center Andre Gurode would be reason for celebration. You would have added two Pro Bowl-caliber players heading into their prime. Now, you're signing two guys who have had trouble staying in shape and frankly, were released by two teams with Super Bowl aspirations. Do you really think the Vikings and Cowboys give up these guys if they thought they could still play? Really? That has to give you reason for concern. It also has to give the Steelers' James Harrison and LaMarr Woodley reason to lick their chops. Without question, after seeing the Ravens' offensive line early in preseason, the Ravens had to do something. But was it really in their grand plan to sign two guys off the scrap heap? On the other hand, McKinnie and Gurode have something to prove after suffering the indignity of being sent packing by the Vikings and Cowboys. Maybe they will play like they did in their youth. The Ravens better hope so.
