PLAYERS: Rex Ryan
TEAMS: New York Jets

John Idzik’s first day at the Jets facility was spent putting out fires. It seems like Darrelle Revis is upset about possible trade rumors. That is and has been part of the problem with the New York Jets under Rex Ryan as the team’s head coach, there have been far too many rumors over the past few years. If Idzik is going to turn the Jets into a contender, he has to hire a head coach that can control his team. Ryan isn’t that guy. He  is too soft and he has lost this team year after year. Rex Ryan lets his players create far too much tension within the team. If Idzik is going to turn things around for the Jets, the first things he should consider is getting a head coach that can control his players. Ryan is the type of guy who rolls with the punches instead of delivering a few of his own. If Ryan was in a heavyweight fight he would be knock right out of the ring. To be successful in the NFL you need a certain amount of toughness, Ryan is not the guy to lead by example. Good luck to Idzik turning things around in New York. As long as he has Rex Ryan as the head coach he will be mentally challenged.

Report: Jets want a 1st and 2nd round pick in return for Revis

According to Mike Freeman of CBS Sports, the New York Jets are looking to get a first and second round pick in return for cornerback Darrelle Revis.  I would that is a very fair asking price if he didn’t tear his ACL this season.  But the fact that he has to come back from a serious knee injury, teams won’t be willing to give up that much to acquire Revis. We already know there...

The unimaginable is on the verge of happening for the Jets.  On Wednesday, it was reported that the Jets will explore trade options for Darrelle Revis.  The All-Pro cornerback is coming off an injury plagued season that forced him to miss 14 games in 2012 and after next season, the Jets will have a hard time signing him to another contract. Should the Patriots go after Darrelle Revis?

Could the Patriots make a move for Darrelle Revis? After reports that the New York Jets are open to trading super-stud cornerback Darrelle Revis surfaced Wednesday night, I began to think, “Is it fathomable to think Darrelle Revis could end up in a Patriots uniform come September?” Of course, it would be tough to see the Jets trade their best player to their hated in-division...
