Found October 14, 2012 on State of the Texans:
With the most recent moves that the Houston Texans have made in order to adjust their roster with the loss of Brian Cushing, the Texans cut Trindon Holliday and moved Keyshawn Martin into the returner role. Most fans thought that Martin was the original player that would take over that role when he was drafted and it would allow them to cut Jacoby Jones. When the Texans started the regular season they never imagined that they would be dead last in the league in kickoff and punt returns. Now with the unexpected injuries that have occurred the Texans needed to make some adjustments. Let’s look at Martin’s college career and see if we can ease any skepticism that we may have.   Keyshawn Martin was a phenomenal athlete at Michigan State he finished ranked second in Michigan State history in punt return yards at 659. He was fourth all-time in punts returned with 65, eighth in kickoff return yards with 1100, and eighth in kickoffs returned with 47. Martin also had 1 kickoff returned for a touchdown and 2 punts returned for touchdowns. Martin is a very capable return man and should be more productive if not an adequate replacement for Trindon Holliday. On kickoff returns Martin averaged 23.40 yards per attempt while as a punt returner he averaged less than 11.29 yards per attempt. Hopefully, the special teams unit will give him excellent blocking going forward so that he can use his speed and vision to flip the field for the Texans offense. In case you haven’t seen Martin in action here is a small sample size.

HOUSTON If you needed to joke about the Houston Texans being overwhelmed, undisciplined or discombobulated in a 42-24 loss to the Green Bay Packers Sunday at Reliant Stadium, they gave you plenty of material.
