Steve Ross will wake up this morning and make the most important decision of his tenure as Miami Dolphins owner.
Forget the time he decided to put his reputation on the line and chase Jim Harbaugh, who did a phenomenal job coaching the 49ers to the NFC Championship game on Sunday.
Forget his controversial decision to retain general manager Jeff Ireland, and allow him to remain the top decision maker on all football matters. Ireland’s strengths showed in 2011, and Jeff Fisher was merely using the Dolphins for leverage.
The only decision that matters right now is who will be the next head coach of the Miami Dolphins?
Who has the plan and the moxie to make this franchise relevant again, and who has the skills to develop a franchise quarterback, putting the finishing touches a solid roster?
